Tetramorph 2

Juan Camilo Castro

The work I submitted consists of prints made by my own body contained in a bed sheet. My bed was place where I spent a lot of my time during lockdown and also the place where I could really express how I felt in the moment. It is kind of a safe place for me to think, to watch, to rest and so, I go through a lot of emotions while laying in bed since it is unique to me and I couldn't be that way around the house.

This work was made after 2 months approximately after the pandemic started, so it was a time in which I was kind of used to being inside but with a lot of anger, sadness and uncertainty because the situation wasn't getting any better. And also the context of not being able to be roaming outside the house and doing much much more than just waking up and doing house stuff. I wanted to feel human again, and I found out that my bed was more than just a place to rest.
