Item description
Two wooden boards with resin pour art and glitter. The boards are put together to create a cohesive piece. There is an upside down ‘y’ shape with a diagonal line going from the top right to bottom left and another line halfway down going to the bottom right. Three piles of purple glitter–in the top left, right, and bottom left–are surrounded by gold paint, creating a geode-like shape. Shades of purple and pink are poured throughout the piece, with thin gold lines bordering them.

Untitled 2

I make art using resin, I love art, I used to draw and paint portraits until I started having kids.

During the pandemic, I gave birth to my second child who had multiple health problems and she had to be in intensive care at the hospital for almost 4 months. I was also in school pursuing a Master in Public Health Program at this time. So, you can imagine how overwhelming everything seemed in the midst of a pandemic. But I didn't give up, I kept my hopes alive and I decided to use art as a form of therapy after I realized I was suffering from extreme burnout.

Having to take care of a special needs baby (who is now a toddler), and schooling during a pandemic with no help from family members to avoid the spread of Covid 19 was extreme torture on my mental health.
So art was my form of therapy, it was so soothing.
