Didn't we all make bread during the early part of the pandemic? I certainly did. We shared secrets of our sourdough starters and secretly jacked them up with commercial yeast when things looked less than ideal. I think the process of baking bread in this way fit well with my writing project. Both connected me in different ways to my family both past and present.
