Sewing Resistance 4

Emily DuffyBased on pattern by Brittany Bailey

At the beginning of the pandemic masks were impossible to find and I realized I could use my stash of cotton fabric, and my sewing skills to make life-saving, reusable masks.

I feel it was a crime of negligence for the United States not to have any masks when this pandemic reached our shores back in Winter 2020. I hope someday there will be investigations into why there was no national surplus and I hope there will never again be one. I, along with my fellow Aunties, did a lot of "rage sewing" as we fought to do the work that our government abdicated.
