Morning Light

Kent Safford

I use photography to capture how light drapes itself over natural as well as man made objects. "Morning Light" reflects how an apartment dweller has chosen to bring nature closer to her with a bounty of life and color.

The timing of my daily walks is designed for experiencing dramatic light as well as an absence of my fellow humans which almost guarantees the opportunity for birds, insects, and wind to claim my attention.

As a walking meditation it has become a way to practice an intimacy with stillness which always soothes, heals, and elevates my spirit every time I walk out the door.

I strongly identify myself as a spiritual being having the human experience. Interacting with the world as I do by recording those moments via photography helps me to provide a portal to share those experiences with anyone who might choose to let their eyes pause long enough to make my stories their own.
