Self-Portrait (Multiple Selves)

This is my newest mask piece, made from numerous split half-masks that I have been obsessively making since they can be used in so many different configurations. Each piece of this mask has my face on the front, edge and inside. I was going to glue them into place to make different mask sculptures, but I thought I should try performing with them first. While holding these individual pieces in place, I would open and close the masks like an accordion or fan to reveal different parts of my face or different patterns. This video is playing backwards, so the pieces form themselves on my face.
