Item description
A photograph of a vintage magnavox cabinet stereo on a tan carpet in front of a white wall. The stereo is wooden, with two cabinet doors in the center and an inset rectangle speaker with a criss-cross pattern on both edges. The wood is carved and very detailed. Below it is a snapchat caption that reads “Lets give the old girl some new life”, and hanging on the wall above it is a green flag with a white MSU spartan logo.

The Month of March was a Broken Record 1

Shelby Akerley

While stuck inside my partner and I made a conscious decision to stop buying furniture from big outlets. This decision was twofold: we didn’t want to contribute to these big outlets anymore, and we wanted to try our hand at giving old pieces new life. These vintage magnavox stereos were our first two attempts over covid. The first pictures show the “before,” which is still beautiful. The second pictures show the after, which is decidedly “us,” and, in my opinion, more beautiful for that reason.
