I struggled a lot with depression over the past year-and-a-half and went through a divorce. I spent a large amount of time reconnecting with myself by foraging in the woods. Being in nature brought me back to growing up on a farm as a child, and a lot of the scents and ideas are oriented around that.
The pandemic has forced me to focus on myself. Self-care became a huge part of my pandemic experience. At first, these works were meant as a way to practice self-care, but I found that I liked creating them so much that I actually opened an Etsy shop so I could share my items with others.
