Unraveling

Sisi Reid

Unraveling is a poem I wrote after texting my friend. I was trying to articulate how I was feeling on that particular day emotionally and mentally. I felt like I was unraveling. From that word I was inspired with images and more words, so unraveling prompted a poem.

My phone was used to record and wrote the text of both poems. Unraveling is the only peice I edited over time. I started it and then a week later I continued to edit it. I submitted for a poetry publication opportunity which gave us a limit of 26 lines. that limit allow me to edit my work and clarity. The two other pieces were improvised.
