A detailed black, white, and red mithila painting of people separated by an arch filled with covid molecules with sad faces and syringes below each of them, following the arch. Below the arch are four people facing each other, holding a candle, wearing masks. The two people on the left have very short hair and the other two have earrings, long wavy hair, and are wearing traditional Indian clothing; the people in the front appear to be adults with children behind them. Above the arch, no one is wearing a mask and all of them are smiling, and doing various things. There is a person in the middle with their hands up in a physician's attire.

Hope of Light

Puja Jha

We all know how Corona caused havoc all over the world. Our life was confined inside the four walls of the house. Seeing the holocaust of Corona in my country as well as in the whole world, my mind used to get distracted. Seeing the surrounding environment started having some negative and some positive effects on my mind. In such a situation, I could not muster the courage to show the negative effect in my artwork because I am an emotional person.

But through my art, I tried to convey the positive effect to all the people of the country. Taking the help of my art, I concentrated my mind. In the time of this holocaust, I taught mithila art through online classes, to many kids and women so that I could transfer some positive thoughts into their minds and I also prepared three artworks which were based on Corona.

My third painting was "Hope of Light " in which I showed that there will definitely come a day when we will all return to our normal lives.
