Item description
A set from a theater production. The larger depiction of the set is an abstractly designed house. Suspended from the ceiling is the frame for the point of a roof: made out of two vertical pieces of wood that meet to form the point, and three horizontal slats of wood that are intersected by a rectangular window in the middle. This visual of the roof opens into the inside of the house, with a pink patterned wallpaper. A windmill sits above the frame of the house, among the dark yellow background. The walls of the ornate, dimly-lit house are filled with windows and doors. The main scene takes place within the open kitchen; a white man sits alone at a table, wearing a blue button down, khaki pants, brown shoes, and is holding an opened black book, reading. The remainder of the scene is filled with furniture: an orange velvet couch, small wooden coffee table, a side table with a desk lamp, and a desk cover the space. The stage floor is hardwood, adding to the depiction of the home.
