A photograph of a pencil drawing of flowers. The flowers are various sizes growing all around on the page; they have dark centers and many narrow petals, with droopy triangle-shaped leaves. The drawing is done on a page from a daily planner; the top date is cut off, the middle is “4 Saturday” with several horizontal lines; the bottom is “5 Sunday” with the same number of horizontal lines. On the very bottom are small calendars for January, February, March, and April 2020.

These are pictures from my many lock-down walks. At a time of extreme anxiety, I tried to photograph and sketch flowers and mushrooms that evoked humor and grace.
