Item description
A digitally rendered abstract figure composed of fragments of images interwoven and stacked on top of each other so that almost nothing is distinguishable. It has no definite shape, and the many colors and patterns are separated by black lines of varying length and width similar to street art. At the very bottom is a snippet of someone wearing a red suit, partially obscured by the rest of the figure.

My art practice is based on the surrealist parlor game called Exquisite Corpse where three artists collaborate to create a figure. I usually do it with other artists but in isolation I started doing them by myself. I think of them as a way to observe how we are permeated by culture both mentally and physically. All of the images that go into constructing the figures are gathered from random places on the internet and then imported into a simple graphics program where I can join and manipulate them; art is what I do, it's who I am. I make art because it is part of the way I approach and understand the world.
