Thank you cards linocut print process

I uploaded a fraction of the total works I've created during the pandemic, as art has been my one true vice and coping mechanism, and I've created something nearly every single day since COVID-19 hit the US.

Each piece has varying themes, stories, mediums, and purposes, but are united by three things that earmark my experience through the pandemic (1) my desire for escapism (2) the collective societal angst and feeling of obligation to capture the times and (3) the desire to spread joy and give back in small ways.

Thank you cards linocut print process (inking process video): After painting several Van Gogh's and realizing how universally his paintings are recognized and appreciated, I had the idea to give back to my clients, customers, friends, family, and community members using Van Gogh's iconic Starry Night. I hand-carved this lincocut print saying "thank you" and mailed these unexpectedly as postcards to dozens of people, if nothing else than to just put a smile on their faces. This creative process was both escapism and healing for me, as I was able to channel gratitude and share joy through art.
