(MC)2: Meaning and Movement, A Docuseries 3

Patsy Collins

The creative work above includes 3 episodes in staibdance's 12-episode docuseries entitled (MC)2: Meaning and Movement, A Docuseries. This 12-part docuseries features interviews with guest participants from our in-person (MC)2 2021 festival which took place June 7-11, 2021, which united 12 culturally rooted dance organizations under one roof for five days of free classes, performances and community conversations for the entire Atlanta arts community. This festival is the first of its kind in Atlanta and serves as a meeting point for the most varied and diverse assembling of culturally rooted dance organizations in the city to date. In an effort to highlight and share the wealth of knowledge that the leaders of these dance organizations hold, our Artistic Director George Staib led a dialogue with each of them which was then carefully crafted into a docuseries episode, for all to watch, enjoy and learn. Viewers take a heartfelt journey as each episode delves into the ideas and influences responsible for shaping some of Atlanta's most revered artists, and their uniquely rooted cultural experience. Each guests guide viewers along their literal and figurative ocean crossing, revealing astonishing insight and breathtaking empathy. All are able to discover the roadblocks and triumphs that drive and inspire their visions.
