I felt strongly about the slogan. I have so much left to accomplish in my life and am now hampered by age and a pandemic.

I did lose a good friend/former co-worker to COVID early on. She had such a zest for life and could never have imagined she would be gone so soon.

Description

A photograph of a rug with the saying “We thought growing old would take longer” in blue. Surrounding the saying are flowers and foliage mirrored on the left and right. The rug itself has a blue whip stitch border. On the top and the bottom of the piece there are small sections running across the length of the run. These sections have short and wide stripes in earthy tones that are used in the rest of the piece.
