Having an outlet where I don't feel I need to meet any standards and could let myself relax and enjoy what I was doing has been very helpful amidst the stresses of the past year. As the legitimacy of institutions has come into question, as we discover just how much of the structure of our society has been hollowed out for corporate profit, and as the need for fundamental social change is increasingly dire yet always seemingly out of reach despite our best efforts, I felt I needed something that could relieve the pressure, the frustration and the cynicism, an outlet without judgment.
