Lesson Two: Power and the Imagination

Goal: Developing Communities of Practice and Praxis

Objective: Facilitate the use of imagination in the classroom and access your senses and embodiment as power/superpower.

Task: To use power to connect to art and community.

Prompt to action: Choose one piece from the archive.  Document your response to these questions:

  • What power is in the piece?
  • What is your sense of the author’s power?
  • What is yours while you access the piece?
  • Does the author’s power and your power combine/collide/create a sphere of influence that you might access in the future?
