Item description
A trio of triangle glass sculptures arranged next to each other on a brushed stainless steel piece. The two triangles on the outside are pointing down while the middle triangle is pointing up to create an upside down trapezoid shape. Each triangle has a green background with a slightly smaller metallic green triangle within. In the smaller triangles are pieces of holographic glass that are cut into gemstone shapes, arranged throughout the triangles. Small straight lines and zigzag lines frame some of the gemstone-like pieces.

Marbled Triangle Trio - Greens

Wanda Tyner

Wanda’s nature-inspired glass art depicts a story that flows from realistic representations to abstract interpretations with 3D elements that add depth and reflections. Wanda manipulates and forms glass into shapes with heat, flow, dimension, patterns and texture bringing vibrant colors to life.

glass wall art: A triptych mounted all together focused on triangles, greens and the sparkle of dichroic glass.

Inspiration: all the greens in nature - leaves, shrubs, grass, meadows, trails and more. Especially the growth and renewal of spring. Pushing myself for larger abstract art.

Artistic Process: first the design then lots of measuring and cutting of glass into 6 large triangles of dark green (2 fused together for each section (triangle). The smaller center triangle was made with glass powder mixed with water and then combined to create a marbled effect of greens with a bit of white. The thicker components start with aventurine green base, cutting up many different styles of dichroic glass and making a mosaic with clear glass on top to create depth, all casted. other dichroic components are cut. All the embellishments (components) were then tack fused to the background. All 3 large triangles were mounted on brushed stainless steel in a specific planned designed. it is wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
