Item description
An abstract painting made with printmaking ink on watercolor paper. The appearance is similar to that of acrylic paint; with long, textured brush strokes that have different shades of vivid green, red, and blue weaved throughout them. These strokes are overlapped horizontally so in parts where the ink breaks or a stroke ends, a different stroke continues. Where the colors blend, there are hints of brown.

Investigating the nature of scent 1

My new work is focused on our connections with the sense of touch and our relationships with scents & taste; where I am creating a whole new body of multi-sensory series of olfactory artwork. By creating a new body of artwork into a new landscape in multisensory experiences I am learning more about our connections of smells and taste through color theory explorations. Discovering a series of Scent Mapping by creating a visual library of Scent wheels through studies of Color Theory. Exploring potential smells in an aesthetic experience that showcases distinctive qualities of scent – its evocativeness, variability, and directness. Displaying our sense of smell’s inherent subjectivity personal reflections and intimacy, creating a series of olfactory artworks that generate thought-provoking insights into one's personal taste, spirituality, and our philosophy of the senses.
