Nature Photography - I found walking around taking pictures incredibly soothing during the pandemic when we were stuck at home. I am blessed to live in the woods where nature provides a lot of interesting subjects. I also took to digital art on my iPad using Procreate and drew a self portrait. When bedtime with our kids was feeling really monotonous during covid times (or all times, really) I would bring my iPad and draw while they were falling asleep. I started to look forward to our bedtime routine this way.

Throughout the series of images, she presses the mask to her face repeatedly as the mask crumbles into smaller and smaller pieces. It crumbles away at her touch, even as she attempts to hold it to her face. Throughout the series, the mask becomes more fragmented. In the last image, the mask falls away displaying the artist’s face.
