Turtley
Wanda’s nature-inspired glass art depicts a story that flows from realistic representations to abstract interpretations with 3D elements that add depth and reflections. Wanda manipulates and forms glass into shapes with heat, flow, dimension, patterns and texture bringing vibrant colors to life.
I designed with the colors of blue transparent and Greens along with the shape and structure of the glass. the glass was manipulated at high temperatures to swirl the colors into patterns. The glass was then cut into a final shape with a tile saw and after additional cold working, the glass was firepolished.
The glass stand is made of multiple layers of blue transparent in a diamond shape. The Sculpture is adhered to the stand with bumpons on the bottom.
