Double Rainbow Weave

Wanda Tyner

Wanda’s nature-inspired glass art depicts a story that flows from realistic representations to abstract interpretations with 3D elements that add depth and reflections. Wanda manipulates and forms glass into shapes with heat, flow, dimension, patterns and texture bringing vibrant colors to life.

Weaving glass starts with cutting strips of glass in various colors, then fusing as is or with added "threads". Then a portion of the strips are formed into shapes that are then used to weave into a pattern.

Light on the weave creates interesting reflections and reflect more with the installation using a standoff.

It is mounted with a standoff on the woven glass that connects with the other portion of the standoff on brushed stainless steel, wired for hanging with welded brackets to keep the artwork flat and straight on the wall with no tilting.
