Item description
An acrylic painting of an old, crumbling building. The building has red slats for a roof, their spacing revealing gaps and support beams inside. The building has gray worn, wooden siding with an open door and a window to the right side. The bottom right side of the building has worn, brown siding. The top right of the building has nothing, which then leads to a hole in the siding on the other side of the building, opening into the grayness of the background.

These works of art represent the beauty of the end of life. Most are paintings done with my favorite media, Acrylic paint. I like working with water based paint because I can use it in many ways: Thick as a paste or I can thin it down to a watercolor consistency which is very useful since I like building up the intensity of the color with layers. It dries fast, so I can change what I am painting just as fast. It is clean: I wash my brushes and tools with water and soap.

Two of the works I included are in ceramic and glass tiles. In 2020 I went back to doing Ceramics. I had done some in Rio de Janeiro years ago. It is also a water based medium, if you can call it that way since you work with water and clay.
