A photograph of six canvas paintings on a green paint splotted background, arranged in two rows of three. These paintings were created by a poured paint method, resulting in curvy organic shapes and spots. They are all quite similar in color and composition, aside from differences in arrangement. In each painting, dark blue and purple waves bump into other cascading paints. Other colors present are dark orange, maroon, bright white, pink, and yellow. Five of the six paintings are also covered in a layer of small yellow spots. Black paint fills the gaps.

I have a great need to create beautiful things. Color speaks to my soul. Being able to share my process, journey, and results with my social media friends was a nice connection that I was missing out on due to the confinement.

The pandemic experience only made the feelings of loss and loneliness develop quicker and deeper but also provided the space to lean into the loss and work through it thoroughly without the opportunity for distraction to take it's place. If it wasn't for the space provided by the pandemic, I don't think I would have been able to process grief as well as I did.
