I have shared a painting called QUARANTINE, It is acrylic on canvas, 72" x 72". The text refers to things I felt during the quarantine we all experienced at the start of Covid.

Description

A large acrylic on canvas painting. The background of the painting is pale orange with pale red swirls. The canvas is filled with lines of handwritten text dotted with paintings of the COVID germ cell. The text is in different colors and so small it is hard to distinguish. Most of what is visible is the phrase “tick tock” repeated over and over.

The pandemic experience only made the feelings of loss and loneliness develop quicker and deeper but also provided the space to lean into the loss and work through it thoroughly without the opportunity for distraction to take it's place. If it wasn't for the space provided by the pandemic, I don't think I would have been able to process grief as well as I did.

VICTORIA’S CORONA

MARIE ANTOINETTE’S CORONA
