I have a great need to create beautiful things. Color speaks to my soul. Being able to share my process, journey, and results with my social media friends was a nice connection that I was missing out on due to the confinement.

Description

Starting from the left edge and moving to the right, a pastel multicolor cloud and dark blue waves bump into a large cascade of dark orange and maroon. Black paint fills the gaps between these interactions, but small yellow spots cover the canvas and brighten the scene.

The pandemic experience only made the feelings of loss and loneliness develop quicker and deeper but also provided the space to lean into the loss and work through it thoroughly without the opportunity for distraction to take it's place. If it wasn't for the space provided by the pandemic, I don't think I would have been able to process grief as well as I did.
