I have a great need to create beautiful things. Color speaks to my soul. Being able to share my process, journey, and results with my social media friends was a nice connection that I was missing out on due to the confinement.

Description

A photograph of a colorful, abstract canvas painting. The painting was created by a poured paint method, resulting in curvy organic shapes and cells. Bright orange, purple, green and blue paints move inward from the left edge toward the green, red, and yellow paints coming in from the right edge. These colors don’t exactly mix, but intertwine with each other into a freeform stream down the center of the canvas. White paint fills the gaps between these interactions and mixes with the other colors.

The pandemic experience only made the feelings of loss and loneliness develop quicker and deeper but also provided the space to lean into the loss and work through it thoroughly without the opportunity for distraction to take it's place. If it wasn't for the space provided by the pandemic, I don't think I would have been able to process grief as well as I did.

The Path (Still)

State of the Nation

Angel of the Pandemic: Dear Lord, I am Tired

The Vibrant Village 1
