Paintings from the Time of Covid 8
Richard McGarry
My paintings depict a variety of ideas and people: the homeless, God as “one of us”, friends in various stages of their lives and careers, California in a collage of time and place, whimsy (the sun playing hide and seek, dancers on stage, a dog chasing the moon).
I was reflecting on the pandemic as it affects homelessness, and poverty.
Increased awareness of the plight of the homeless in San Luis Obispo, in California, and throughout the USA .
I believe that everyone, regardless of their financial standing, deserves a safe, clean home for themselves and their families.
